Hi DevHunt! I'm Vlad, I build Mador in Tenerife. While measuring which local businesses AI assistants name, we kept finding sites that the assistants simply could not read: blocked in robots.txt without the owner knowing, or rendered only with JavaScript (very common with Lovable, Bolt or v0 sites). So we pulled that check out as its own open source tool. The reader introduces itself honestly as MadorReadable and never pretends to be GPTBot. Feedback on what else it should check is very welcome.

Paste a page address and in a few seconds you see how much of it ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and the other assistants can read, what stops them and what to change. It checks two different problems. Assistants that can't get in: robots.txt rules for each AI reader, or a protection such as Cloudflare that answers automated readers with a verification page. And assistants that get in but find an empty page: sites that build their text with JavaScript, which most AI readers don't run. It also looks at title, description, canonical, headings, structured data, FAQs, llms.txt, sitemap and the platform the site is built on, so it can tell you where to fix things. Open source under MIT, runs on the web or from the command line.

Readable by AI checks how much of a webpage AI assistants can read and why they may be blocked or see empty content.
