Maker here. These are the same codebases my own directory, job board and launch sites run on, packaged so you can set one up for your own niche. The docs are free to read, so you can check the stack and the setup before buying. Questions about the code are welcome.

Three production codebases you buy once and own. Local Lab (Python, Flask) builds local service directories with a Google Places importer, featured listings and a lead marketplace. Job Lab (Next.js, Meilisearch, BullMQ) builds niche job boards that ingest from feeds and hiring systems such as Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby. Launch Lab (Python, Flask) builds weekly launch platforms with voting and paid queue-skipping. Each ships with Stripe, an admin, Docker deployment and a browser setup wizard. The 72 setup guides are free to read, and the public repo has a tour of each kit.

DirectoryLab provides ready-to-run source-code kits for local service directories, niche job boards, and weekly launch platforms.

  • Full source code kits — Downloadable, production-ready code for a directory, job board or launch platform.
  • Built-in revenue streams — Featured listings, leads, subscriptions, paid launches and ads are pre-configured.
  • One-click deployment wizard — Setup wizard configures a new site without modifying code.
  • Stripe integration — Payments and pricing are wired in via Stripe out of the box.
  • Docker support — Each kit includes Dockerfiles for easy container deployment.
  • Admin panel — Web admin lets you manage listings, jobs or launches without coding.
  • Lifetime updates (Professional+) — Private GitHub repo gives access to updates via git pull.
  • Multi-site dashboard (Enterprise) — Manage a portfolio of sites from a single dashboard.

  • DirectoryLab vs DirectoryKit: Provides a ready-made directory website starter, but focuses on a single template rather than three distinct kits.
  • DirectoryLab vs Indie Kit: A Next.js 15 boilerplate with many features, not specialized for directories, job boards or launch platforms.
  • DirectoryLab vs ShipFast: Helps ship a startup quickly but is a broader platform, not a niche-specific code kit with built-in revenue streams.
  • DirectoryLab vs useSAASkit: Offers configurable Next.js templates; lacks the bundled revenue integrations and multi-kit approach of DirectoryLab.

DirectoryLab FAQ

Do I need to be a developer?+

You need to be comfortable with a command line and following the setup guide; after that the admin panel handles configuration.

Is there a subscription fee?+

No. You pay once per kit or for the bundle and can run unlimited sites.

Can I sell a site I build?+

Yes. You own every site you create and may run, rent or sell it, but you cannot resell the kit itself.

What if the kit isn’t right for me?+

You have 30 days to request a full refund; access to the repository is revoked after the refund.

What stacks are the kits built on?+

Local Lab and Launch Lab use Python + Flask; Job Lab uses Next.js + TypeScript with a search engine and job queue.
