Hi DevHunt. I leave Claude Code running and switch to something else. Then it sits on a permission prompt and I only notice when I come back. DockTerm is my fix. It is a desktop app around a real terminal. It keeps your actual claude session and does not replace it with a chat UI. munu, a small face in the MacBook notch (a pill on Windows and Linux), reads Claude's state from the terminal and shows the prompt so you can answer without switching windows. It never answers for you. Also: live subagent view, diff review, simple Git, split panes. Local only, no account, no telemetry. MIT. Install on macOS: brew install --cask munvard/dockterm/dockterm, or grab a build from GitHub Releases. I would like to hear what breaks on your setup.

DockTerm is a free, open source terminal workspace for Claude Code. You run your own claude session in real terminal panes, with tabs, splits and grids. On macOS, munu brings Claude's permission prompts down from the notch, even over fullscreen apps, so you can answer without switching windows. Also: live subagent view, diff review, simple Git and chat mode. Local only: no account, no telemetry, and it never calls an AI API. MIT licensed, for macOS, Windows and Linux.
