This was actually more useful than I thought. Instead of me trying how to exactly bitbang I2C signals and printing logs to Serial, I simply modified their hello world github example to let an agent figure this out. Worked on the real STM32 blue pill in front of me, but with zero time on my side. Hope they develop more features soon like more peripherals and tests. Could be a huge time saver.
Hey DevHunt! I am Sohyeon here, Co-founder and CPO at Veecle 👋 Chiplab is an MCP server that lets AI coding agents build, run, and test embedded firmware on a virtual copy of the real chip. No physical board required. [Why we built it] Years ago, we spent hours in a car flipping through a several-hundred-page datasheet just to find one signal. Then we ordered a board and lost weeks waiting for it to ship before we could even start. And when it finally arrived, we still had to wait our turn for the single setup the team shared. Every new AI coding tool seem built for apps or websites. We wanted embedded developers to move just as fast, to spend their time on real engineering, not on datasheets and waiting. [What it does] Helps your agent develop correct embedded code from day one by using datasheets, manuals, and results from all runs. - Runs your code on a virtual instance of the real chip. - Reads crashes for you, and gets better with every run. - Runs across all boards at once, instead of one at a time. - No custom hardware or tooling required. Connect your agent, and it’s ready. [Who it's for] Embedded engineers and teams who want their AI agent to carry the work all the way through, not just write the code. [What's supported today] - Chips: STM32 (F1, F4, F7, H7, L0, WBA) and Nordic (nRF52). - OS/Framework: Bare-metal, Embassy-Rust, Zephyr, FreeRTOS, Eclipse ThreadX. - Languages: C/C++, Rust. We're in beta and improving fast. Peripheral support and CI/CD integration are coming next week, so you can wire this into your GitHub and write real test scenarios. It's free to use while we're in beta. Excited to keep shipping :) Try it at: chiplab.veecle.ai Veecle website: veecle.ai Or leave a star on our public repo: github.com/veecle/chiplab Would love to hear what you'd want us to support next. We'll be in the comments all day.
Chiplab lets AI agents compile, simulate and test embedded firmware on a virtual copy of real STM32/Nordic chips without hardware.
- for
- Embedded developers and AI coding agents needing hardware-free firmware validation.
- pricing
- freemium · free trial
- license

Key features
- Virtual silicon — Runs firmware on a chip-accurate virtual instance with real peripheral behavior.
- Single MCP call — Agents invoke compile, simulate, test or benchmark with one endpoint.
- Corpus learning — Each run adds results to a shared corpus searchable by agents.
- Remote licensed toolchains — Compiles with IAR, ARMCC, HighTec etc. without local installation.
- Synthetic sensor injection — Feeds generated sensor data (camera, CAN, IMU) into live simulation.
- Automated test reporting — Provides verdict, trace, coverage and regression info per run.
Use cases
- Validate firmware on a new STM32 board before buying hardware.
- Run unit and integration tests on every commit in CI pipelines.
- Debug HardFault crashes by inspecting register state from simulation.
- Generate synthetic sensor streams to test IoT firmware behavior.

- Chiplab by Veecle vs Pocketenv: Provides a sandbox runtime for agents but not chip-accurate firmware simulation.
- Chiplab by Veecle vs BuildShip: AI-driven visual backend builder, unrelated to embedded firmware testing.
- Chiplab by Veecle vs Fluent CI: CI/CD pipelines in TypeScript, not focused on hardware simulation.
- Chiplab by Veecle vs Devzero: Accelerates code releases, but does not emulate hardware for embedded code.
Chiplab by Veecle FAQ
What is a credit?+
A credit is the smallest unit of work, representing a single MCP verb invocation; different operations consume different amounts.
Do free credits roll over?+
Free credits are limited to 1,000 per day and reset every 24 hours.
Can I cap spend?+
Yes, you can monitor and limit usage by controlling credit consumption.
What happens when I run out of credits?+
When credits are exhausted you must top-up or wait for the daily reset before making further calls.
