Hey! I'm Bonnie, the designer and systems thinker (with an artist brain) behind this tool. Wanted to share a bit more about what The Color Palette Lab™ does, because the description only scratches the surface. Most color tools give you inspiration. This one gives you a working system, and it's fast. Here's the actual workflow: Generate or input your colors — enter hex codes, use the picker, or generate by color family with up to 5 colors locked while you shuffle the rest. Controlled generation, not chaos like the usual suspects. WCAG contrast testing happens in real time as you adjust — no tab switching, no manual math. You see passing and failing pairs immediately, with live UI previews showing how your combinations behave on actual headlines, body text, buttons, and links. The Harmonizer is where it gets interesting. If your palette feels flat, lacks tonal range, or just isn't quite there — you choose a harmony mode (Editorial, Triadic, Monochromatic, Analogous, Complement, Split Complement) and it generates light, mid, dark, and accent tones based on your existing colors. It fills tonal gaps intelligently so your system holds up across layouts. Developers: There's a clean :root CSS snippet at the bottom. Your custom color names feed directly into the variable names. Copy. Paste. Deploy. Export your finalized palette and approved pairings as a PNG for client presentations or handoff. It's creation + testing + refinement + export in one structured flow. Built by someone who's spent years building brand systems and got tired of switching between 5 tools when one thoughtful system could apparently handle it all. Would love your feedback if you try it → http://thecolorpalettelab.com/ *Edited to add the Free Color Palette Playground - a space to truly play with color. https://bonniesorsby.com/color-palette-playground/
