What is MCP?+
MCP connects an AI assistant to external tools; Pocket Invoice’s MCP server lets the assistant work with your invoices after you authorize access.
Which AI assistants are supported?+
Codex has been tested. For other assistants, check that the client supports remote MCP servers using Streamable HTTP and OAuth, then use https://api.freedominvoice.com/mcp.
Can the assistant charge customers?+
No. It can record payments and update balances but cannot move money, charge cards, or issue refunds.
How is access controlled?+
OAuth sign-in selects a company and grants permissions; sending is disabled by default and each email requires manual confirmation.
Do my existing Pocket Invoice limits still apply?+
Yes. The MCP uses your current Pocket Invoice account, so document, storage and membership limits remain in effect.
How do I disconnect the assistant?+
Revoke the connection in Pocket Invoice’s AI connections page; the assistant will lose access immediately.
