Corgi

Go-powered tool to run your entire stack with one command

Free398 impressions#1781 of its week

Corgi is a Go CLI that simplifies microservices development. It runs databases in containers and services natively, auto-wires environments, seeds data, and clones repos. Supports 30+ databases including Postgres and MongoDB. One command for your entire stack. I made Corgi to deal with local microservices stuff without wanting to pull my hair out. It’s just one command to get databases, env vars, and services running—no more frying my laptop. Wrote it in Go because it’s fast, and added the databases I actually use. I was so tired of spending hours messing with configs every time I started something new, and getting teammates set up was even worse. This has made things way easier for us, honestly. I put the whole story of why I bothered here if you’re interested: https://dev.to/andriiklymiuk/corgi-the-cli-that-tames-your-local-microservices-chaos-45nd Let me know what you think if you feel like it!

Key features

8 features of Corgi
  • Single-command stack launch — `corgi run` clones repos, starts and seeds databases, wires env vars and launches services together.
  • Feature-scoped runs — Run only the repos and services related to a specific feature or ticket with `--feature`.
  • Database management — Supports 30+ databases, can seed, snapshot and restore data via `corgi db` commands.
  • Agent integration — AI agents can take tickets, edit code across repos, run the stack and open draft PRs.
  • CI/CD support — Run stacks in CI with `--detach` and monitor readiness via `corgi status`.
  • Tunnel & public URL — Expose local services via HTTPS with `corgi tunnel` for webhooks or device testing.
  • Multi-device control — Interact with runs from VS Code, menu bar, Stream Deck or a phone QR scan.
  • MCP server — Provides a local command-protocol server for programmatic control without network exposure.

Use cases

  • Spin up a full local development environment for a new microservice feature with one command
  • Run integration tests in CI that require multiple services and seeded databases
  • Allow an AI coding agent to implement a ticket across API, web and mobile repos
  • Expose a local webhook endpoint securely for external device testing
  • Restore a previous database state to reproduce a bug quickly

Corgi FAQ

How does Corgi start my services?+

`corgi run` clones missing repositories, starts databases in Docker, writes .env files and launches each service as a host process.

Can I run only a subset of services?+

Yes, use flags like `--service-branch` or `--feature` to target specific repos or branches.

What databases does Corgi support?+

It supports over 30 databases, including Postgres and MongoDB, and can seed them from files.

Is Corgi compatible with existing docker-compose setups?+

If you already use docker-compose, you can keep it; Corgi adds repo cloning, env wiring and service orchestration around your containers.

How do I control Corgi from my phone?+

Enable the agent, scan the displayed QR code, and use the phone to allow, deny or comment on sessions.
