No red flags in what we checked
On November 2, 2026 ssyou.online showed none of the warning signs we look for. That isn’t a guarantee: we can’t see what it does with your data or files after you use it, so read what to watch out for below.
The website
checked November 2, 2026
- It loads over HTTPS with a valid certificate.
- The domain ssyou.online has been registered since 2025-06-24 (16 months at our check).
- We saw no sign-up or log-in on its home page.
- We saw no prices or paid plans on its home page.
We loaded https://ssyou.online/en1401Yd/ once, read its home page (without running its scripts) and looked up the domain’s registration in its registry. We don’t test downloads, apps or payments, and a site can change after our check. For a second opinion, look the address up on Google Safe Browsing.

Watch out for with online video downloaders
applies to any such tool
- A web downloader needs nothing installed. If it asks you to install an extension, an app or an .exe "codec", close the tab.
- Many of these sites earn from pop-under ads: close new tabs that open, and ignore big green "Download" buttons that aren’t next to your video.
- Check the saved file: a video ends in .mp4 or .webm, audio in .mp3 or .m4a. Never open a downloaded .exe, .scr, .bat or .apk.
- Click "Block" if the site asks to show notifications, and never sign in with your Google account on it.
- Downloading videos you don’t own can break YouTube’s terms and copyright law. Your own uploads can be downloaded from YouTube Studio.
