PDFops

Hosted PDF API for AI agents, n8n and Python

SubscriptionMCP50 impressionslaunches Apr 18

PDFops is a hosted HTTP API for the PDF work that keeps getting reinvented: fill AcroForm fields, merge documents, inspect a form's fields, generate invoices.

No headless Chromium and no native dependencies, so it runs anywhere a fetch call does: Vercel, Cloudflare Workers, Lambda, Deno Deploy, Bun. Fills are byte-deterministic: same input, same bytes, which is what makes them testable in CI.

Agents get an MCP server (npx -y pdfops-mcp, or the hosted endpoint at https://pdfops.dev/api/mcp), n8n has a verified community node, Python has pip install pdfops, and there is a typed zero-dependency SDK.

Free to try: 100 requests/IP/month keyless, or a free API key (250 requests/month, no card) from pdfops.dev/pricing. Inspect any PDF's form fields in the browser playground without signing up.

PDFops provides a hosted HTTP API to fill, merge, inspect and generate PDFs without native dependencies.

Key features

6 features of PDFops
  • Hosted globally distributed API — Sub-100 ms response times worldwide with no VPC or region configuration needed.
  • Six core endpoints — Fill forms, merge PDFs, inspect fields, generate invoices, self-serve API keys and check usage via simple HTTP calls.
  • Zero-dependency SDKs — Typed, zero-dependency SDKs for Python, Node.js and JavaScript simplify integration.
  • No-code options — Browser playground, free invoice generator, field inspector and email-based fill service require no code.
  • Byte-deterministic fills — Identical input PDFs always produce identical byte output, enabling reliable CI testing.
  • Hard-cap quota model — Each plan enforces a strict request limit with HTTP 429 on overage, preventing surprise charges.

Use cases

  • Generate invoices from JSON data in serverless functions
  • Automate filling government forms (W-9, W-4, 1040) in CI pipelines
  • Merge multiple reports into a single PDF on edge platforms
