What is vibe coding?
Vibe coding means building software by describing what you want in plain language and letting an AI write, run and fix the code. The term comes from Andrej Karpathy (February 2025): you "give in to the vibes", accept the changes, and steer by trying the result instead of reading every line.
In practice: you write a prompt ("a booking app for my yoga studio with Stripe payments"), the tool generates the app, you click around the preview and ask for fixes, then publish. Good for prototypes, internal tools and MVPs; for production code, someone still needs to review security, data handling and costs.
Vibe coding platform or AI coding agent?
