MagicRita

MagicRita is a local-first social network with its own protocol. It is not a Nostr, Mastodon, ActivityPub, or Farcaster client. Identity, posts, media, follows, and encrypted chat live on the device as Ed25519-signed envelopes. Peers sync over WebRTC. The signaling relay only introduces connections and stores no content — no account server, no post database, no cloud feed. No email signup, no tracking cookies, no ranking. The feed is chronological. An account is a keypair (rpub / rsec) you can export as an encrypted bundle. Open source under AGPL-3.0. Run your own relay or try the public demo (invite required). To try the hosted demo, open magicrita.com and use invite rita-beta-0.1. You can also self-host the relay; the invite is only for the public instance.
